Fractional CMO, freelance project, or agency: which do I need?
Fractional if someone needs to own growth (strategy, budget, team) and you're not ready for a full-time hire. A project if one thing needs building or fixing. An agency if you need volume creative across ten markets. We'll say on the call if Adverto isn't the fit.
How many days a week is fractional?
One to three, agreed monthly. Most founders start at two and drop to one once the playbook and the team are in place.
Who does the work?
The senior operator who scoped your engagement runs it: every account, dashboard and campaign. When a project needs a designer or a developer, we bring in people we've worked with before and stay accountable for the result.
Do you work with our in-house team or agency?
Yes, often. Most fractional roles mean leading an existing team, or managing an agency nobody is managing.
What does it cost?
Fractional roles are a monthly retainer tied to days per week. Projects are fixed price, quoted after the audit. You get numbers on the call, not a proposal deck.
What if it isn't working?
Fractional roles run month to month after the first 90 days. Projects have a fixed scope and a finish line. Either way you keep the audit and the roadmap.
How fast can we start?
The audit starts within a week of the call. Most engagements have campaigns live or rebuilt inside the first month.
